The Story About the Horse Picture

We've gotten a lot of positive comments about the above picture, which we used on a recent campaign postcard, so we thought we'd share the story behind the picture.

Lawson L. Lamar has long been in the habit of signing his name as "LLL" or "L x 3," and naturally picked up the nickname "Triple L." When Lawson was Orange County Sheriff, the deputies in charge of the Horse Unit surprised him one day by introducing him to a new horse, that they had named "Triple L."

This photograph is from the day that Lawson met his namesake horse, Triple L. We're glad you've enjoyed the photo as much as we have.
